Making an effective business case for your centre to retailers

Issue

To persuade an anchor retailer to reconsider its decision not to take space within the client’s Centre by demonstrating the potential of the available market.

 

Solution

FSP used market share data to demonstrate that the available market was sufficient to support an anchor store of the size and type envisaged.

FSP’s investment appraisal model was used to forecast levels of turnover for the anchor retailer and show that at these levels a return on investment would be generated that was well above its company average. 

Results

The anchor retailer was impressed by the findings, reconsidered its initial judgement and took space in the client’s Centre.
