According to SnapShop and the Retail Burn, the most talked about retailers over the past month include Sainsbury, ASDA, M&S, Netto, Best Buy, Alliance Boots, McDonalds, Poundland, Republic, TK Maxx, WH Smith, Lidl, Quiksilver, ScS, Thorntons, Uniqlo, Signature Brands, Bhs and Faith.

The retailer recording the most amount of positively rated articles of the last month is Sainsbury's, who poached two members of Tesco’s property team, reported profits ahead of expectations and revealed plans to increase its share of the clothing market..

Faith with an uncertain future following rejection of two bids, remains the most negatively talked about retailer.

Other noteable stories include: ASDA buying Netto, Alliance Boots joining the "Billionaires’ Club"; Thorntons announcing their Chief's retirement along with a profits warning and Lidl backtracking on its ethical claims.
