External access to this retail intelligence is provided via our website www.snap-shop.co.uk. Membership of SnapShop is available to all, and is provided at various levels tailored to suit your needs.

On SnapShop, you will find:

  FSP provides a fascia and a synopsis of the retailer, a link to their website, their merchandise category, predominant customer group and price stance and links to parent, subsidiary and sister companies
• Contacts
  FSP sources Head Office contact details, along with names, job titles and email addresses for key management contacts where available 
• Accounts
  FSP has been monitoring the published accounts of retailers for a number of years. Available on SnapShop is the key financial data from the accounts as filed with Companies House, including turnover, gross profit and operating profit. FSP’s bespoke analysis also includes some relevant measures of financial health, the key summary measure being the Wealth Creation Index (P2), which is defined by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) as the ratio of Value Added to the costs of employees and depreciation

  FSP defines the distribution of a retailer and provides information on the retail formats operated, along with outlet numbers and guideline figures for sales per outlet, sales area and sales density

  Utilising the information already held under Accounts and supplementing this with press reports and trading statements, FSP provides annual, half-yearly, quarterly and weekly sales results, quoting, where available, the turnover figure, with the total and like-for-like change. Where divisional information is available, this is also quoted

  Summarising articles from the press, FSP provides a history of what’s making news for each retailer 
• Rent
  FSP provides a small overview of rent deals, with a link to the National Survey of local Shopping Patterns to define the town rank
• Similar
  Shows a list of retailers similar to the one currently viewing, based on merchandise category, customer group and price stance
